Hi  and welcome to my Weekly Insight for Monday 8th 2009.

Find those NO'S!

Just last week I was talking with Bill who often calls for a chat and to share what's happening in the market. Like many in this market Bill was running low on listings and he was having trouble staying motivated and positive. "No one is saying yes," was Bill's complaint. Bill and I talked for a while and discussed that most people will say NO as they aren't going to list their house "today" (about one in 23 this year will sell, so the odds for a yes today look like one in 8000 ). Bill understands that his calls can reach pass the no's from these people though, as he is also seeking leads/referrrals to others.

Bill then realised that the NO'S are a good thing. He is asking! He is in the game. If he didn't have any NO'S he was not at work. There is a yes in there somewhere. It may take 30 - 40 - 50 - 60 NO'S to find that yes. So Bill counts the NO'S knowing he is on track. 

A YES is always available after you have handled enough NO'S. This week collect the most NO'S you have ever collected and identify the YES amongst them. Be successful collecting NO'S and you will be successful with a YES too. So you can have guaranteed success  this week with your NO'S goal.
