Every day we see new technology advances and new tools to use in our business.

The speed of this change is remarkable and some days it is just "hard" to keep up. We seem to want to have bigger databases, faster communication, communicating via text and email. You see people in restaurants being "not present" whilst they check again and again their smart phones, sales people talking to clients in techno -speak and hoping that social networking will have their "unknown" friends referring them through their networks. 

However, there is still a REAL point to remember.

Customers make listing and buying decisions, because they like and trust the salesperson and or their brand.

So remember First Impressions really do count.

So get out and meet people! Face to face!

The other reality is so simple. Who would you prefer to do business with? Sometimes we make contacts by "cold calling"and wonder why our strike rate is not so great. Then we have a friend or past client refer us to someone and our strike rate is almost 100%. Why? I guess you know the answer?

Because the person who refers you does so because they trust you. It appears that trust is often transferred to the new prospect and then you confirm that with your first impression.

This is nurtured by having strong trusted relationships. We know this powers our sales success and our personal lives. So get out from behind the computer and nurture those relationships.
