Accept that you may have to try something new for you.

Sally was in trouble. No sale for many weeks. Stock was stuck. No commission payments for 90 days. Sally was at a point where her "Ears were now bigger than her Wallet."

Sally was at a point where she was now ready to listen. Sally was typical of many salespeople. She had been successful in an easier market with a few simple strategies. With the change in the market Sally had resisted making any changes, trying anything new. "It would come right." was her belief. Now the bank account was grim. Her partner was asking every day if she had made a sale. It was time to try something new! We gave Sally the list below.. Not all of it was comfortable. Sally was resistant to some of these ideas  BUT her need for success over-ruled her fears. She gave several of these a go - some she got wrong - some Sally got right - some Sally learnt from. The BIG lesson was that giving some things a go, even if you muck some of them up, was far better than being stuck in failure.   

Here is Sally's list.

1 Check your attitude.Would you buy off you?

2 Avoid any negative workmates.

3 Contact every person on your database. 

4 Sack clients who won't listen.

5 Ask for help.Go to training. Educate yourself.

6 Dare to do something new - have a client function.

7 Be the local market expert statistically.

8 Re-write all your advertisements. Add some urgency.

9 Commit to a minimum level of activity  e.g. Number of calls before you can have that coffee.

10 Visit every vendor you have and express concern over their lack of a sale or even an offer.

11. Set a date to launch 3 - 4 - 5 campaigns on the same day.

12 Call every buyer you have met in the last 90 days.

13. Identify the 3 best agents in your market and ask them for advice - buy them a coffee.

14. Visit the BEST agents auctions and watch them in action. Don't watch the auction, watch them.

15 Visit the best agents open homes and watch them in action.

16. Go to the gym, a walk etc

17. Buy yourself a new suit, new haircut, have a massage etc. Look after you. Have a treat.

18. Take your partner on a date. Celebrate what is great in your life.
