Hi [name] and welcome to my Weekly Insight for Monday 13th July 2009.

Keep Something on the shelf at all times.

These are fascinating times for real estate sales people as sellers stay off the market and buyers want to shop. It reminds me of some simple rules:

The corner dairy under pressure has bare shelves

The car yard needs cars to sell

The clothing shop needs full racks and shelves.

You can only sell what you have in your shop and turnover is critical - no stock, nothing to market and even worse nothing to sell.

The real estate office needs listings!

So why would you sell a listing in the first few days?????????????

Why would you sell a property without exposing it to the market?

This is a market where your duty to your seller MUST never be put at risk because a buyer pressures you.

Ian's old rule still stands true:

List the property

Market the Property

List another property

Now you can sell the first one.

This week once again the #1 focus is secure another listing. What's the plan?

Quote for the Week

"Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish."
Euripides (484 BC - 406 BC), The Bacchae, circa 407 B.C

"Dropped 10 000 flyers in 6 weeks, 3000 of your newsletter just in black and white and done 25 appraisals in six weeks...Do enough of the same old stuff and enough of it, it works - the newsletter has made us busy..."
