Embrace the Countdown

Sometimes when we mention a deadline it is interesting to watch and hear reactions. Last week we mentioned "60 days to produce until Christmas". So far we have got 3 reactions:

1. "Don't care, it's business as usual". (Happy people on their targets, or they truly don't care))

2. "Don't mention it I don't need the pressure or the reminder!" 

3. "Thanks for that. I can enjoy Labour Weekend and know I have 2 more months to produce and then enjoy a well earned break with family and friends, comfortably"

Yes there is always a countdown at this time of the year and now is the time to embrace it.

It's not an extra effort forever. It's only for 60 days. Take the opportunity to focus for longer than a week, longer than a few days and know it's not forever. Sometimes we can make big changes to our business when we decide to embrace extra effort, some resisted strategies, some "forgotten" actions for 60 days. 

Make your family's Christmas a great one - you can rest then, but not for the next 2 months.

So embrace the opportunity. It's not a life sentence!
