Hi [name] and welcome to my Weekly Insight for Monday 14th June 2010
Risks and Rewards
What a fascinating week we have had. You may have noticed, of course you did, that we made a special thank you offer to all our subscribers. In a changing market we are always looking for new ideas and in alliance with Graham McGregor, we created something to say thank you with an offer to you, of something with real practical value at a fantastic value price.
We took a risk as we know how crowded the e-mail traffic can be. As crowded as the real estate market and all the prospecting strategies we engage in. We took a risk and it worked so well - the reward was well worth the risk.
Can we say thank you to all of you who took up the offer and for the fantastic feedback we have received. Some of the results you have already sent through to us are amazing and make the risk we took really quite insignificant. You took a little risk too, and many of you are already enjoying the rewards. Fantastic and so positive.
We have no doubt you make those tough calls, open home call backs, send out newsletters, follow-up with that call, call your database, make those presentations and risk rejection in search of that yes.
As in all endeavours there are those with the "glass is half empty" attitude. These people just could not resist pushing the unsubscribe button so just like in all prospecting we had some rejection. We expected that and ran with it. That is just part of your and my weeks. When you make the calls you will get a percentage of rejection. Until you make that call you have only secured a "NO". Only by making those calls can you challenge that "NO" into a "YES". The curious thing is that those who chose to unsubscribe will be out there prospecting this week, making unsolicited calls and dropping unsolicited flyers. Interesting.
This week make those calls expecting a % of rejection and "NO'S" and celebrate every call as a step you just have to make. The yes answers will come.
Quote for the Week
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured and far away"
