Time and time again we get to hear stories that make great lessons and last week was no exception. It was so simple and yet so applicable I thought I would share it with you. We all want  to see,  and to offer great client service.  With the fee realtors collect for a sale one would expect to see great client respect - in fact, "We should honour our clients." 

An agent who I know well, had just listed a property where they had been in competition with  two other agents for the business. 

The agent then shared with me the story from their client after calls from the agents who missed the business.

They didn't wish the seller well, they didn't thank them for the oportunity, they didn't offer to keep in touch, they didn't even offer to contact the successful listing agent if they had a good buyer!  They blew the client away as this is what they said,

"Why did you go with them? They are only a little company. You shouldn't have done that." etc.

The clients words were so insightful.

"They were telling me I am stupid. They have just lost my business for the second time!"

I just love hearing those stories. It is no wonder we see 80% of the business done by 20% of the people. 

This is a rapidly changing business and the changes over coming months will be swift and many. Be ready to be part of those changes. Exciting times.
