This week my message comes to you from Melbourne. I was engaged to perform a speaking and consulting role on Friday and feel very privileged and humbled by the feedback I have already received following this. What is also very rewarding is that I have taken this opportunity to have a long weekend in Melbourne to spend time with my two sons. Along with having some special time with them and the ladies in their worlds, I have had some time for reflection. I have thought about the past week and the occasions I have celebrated and enjoyed. It truly brings to the forefront those things we all know, but sometimes forget. Be present, enjoy those moments of fun, friendship and laughter. 

I enjoyed many such moments last week catching up with many friends. It was all great, but one meeting in particular resonated with me. On Wednesday evening I caught up with a very good friend. She and I had shared many moments of laughter, joy and hard decisions over several years. You see this friend and I had worked alongside each other for many years until one day our professional paths went in different directions. The day to day contact had gone and yes it was missed. However what has remained is that connection and we now catch up to talk, share stories and sometimes go over "old times" over one or two glasses of our favourite chardonnay. Now this hasn't happened automatically! We have both made an effort over the years to continue our get togethers. It only takes place a couple of times a year, but when it happens it is almost like we carry on from where we left off last time. Very easy and relaxed.

This too can be true of your clients. If you maintain the relationship through honest feedback and genuine consideration for them, your business will be solid and you will deal only with people who have a mutual respect for what you have to offer. Surely a win win all round.

I also took the time on Friday evening to toast a very professional young man who was celebrating his own victory in Auckland. Awesome to see the development in him!

VERIFIABLE TRAINING OPTIONS FOR THOSE NEAR AUCKLAND WHO HAVE MISSED THEIR CORPORATE OF OFFICE SESSIONS & TAURANGA SESSION.

I am running small group sessions in Auckland for those who need an alternative date because of holidays or illness.

Each session is approx 5 hours and session one covers topics 1-4 and session 2 covers Topics 5-8. Fee is $149+gst for all 8 topics.

Next sessions are:

Wednesday July 25th and Wednesday August 22nd

TAURANGA: Session 1 Topics 1-4  June 26th  

We will facilitate in other centres with a minimum of 15 registrations.
