Last week I caught up with several clients. I always enjoy hearing about how their business is progressing and as many have been friends for a long time, it is often a time of reflection for both of us.

One particular meeting stood out. Helena is new to real estate. She wanted to meet to discuss growing her business to the next level. She has been in business for 6 months and to date her results are very impressive.

As we talked I realised, that although she lacked "real estate" experience, she indeed had a very mature grasp on living a life of abundance.

I soon learnt that it was this attitude of abundance which had attributed to her success to date. She went into this business with a positive outlook. She told me that she believes she can be the best in the industry and although some may find that to be an arrogant statement, I was impressed with her faith in herself.

She goes into a listing presentation with the belief that she is the right person to market the property and is confident that she will achieve a great result for her client. I found her attitude refreshing and after she had left the meeting I sat and thought about how her absolute faith in herself brought such awesome results.

Once again here was a simple lesson: Your thoughts and feelings truly do affect the outcome in every area of your life.

If you think your business is not going to flourish; it won't! If you believe that you can't prosper financially, you won't.

If you believe that you will never have that special someone in your life, you won't.

Here is something you could try for a week to see how it works for you.

Before you get up in the morning imagine yourself having a great day, personally and professionally. Be grateful for the things in your life and imagine how you would like all areas of your life to be. Look forward to good news coming today.

You will feel wonderful and those around you will notice and appreciate your positive attitude. Now watch out - something really great will simply come your way.

Ask first if you really believed it would! Or maybe it will take a few more days, so persist.
