PERSONAL REFLECTIONS!

This week's message is a little different but I hope there is something contained in it to set your week off to a great start.

I have a weekend of "me only time" and on Saturday morning as I sat listening to the tuis and watched the day take shape, I had this overwhelming feeling of appreciation and gratitude for all things, simple and precious. My thoughts then wandered to some recent conversations with my wife Jacqui over recent days.

You see Jacqui is currently away visiting her family in Perth for a few days. Yes, some distance to travel for a short visit, however she felt it important to take this time.

As well has having a son in Perth, Jacqui also has a younger brother there. It is his birthday this month and Jacqui wanted to share that time with him. He has faced his own challenges over the past 14 months and she has shared this journey with him. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June 2011 which was a huge blow for the whole family.

Over the past few days she has spoken often about all the things she is so grateful for and appreciates.

She has shared precious moments with her son and has laughed, joked and chilled with her brother. Believe me ....Jacqui and her brother both share a very sharp wit. I am sure they have had some laughs.

What Jacqui has observed and commented on most, is her brother's appreciation of life and the little everyday moments. He now shares his experience through support groups for fellow travellers.

Mmm....it definitely gives cause for reflection. In the busy days ahead, take the time to smell the roses and listen to the sounds of nature. Make time for family and friends and share your thank yous and smiles with everyone. It is contagious!

I am touring NZ in the next few weeks with 3 hour Non-Verifiable Sessions. Watch for dates coming soon as this is my only NZ tour in 2012. Each Session is 3 Hours NON VERIFIABLE and the fee is $89 each incl gst. All sessions 10.00 am to 1.00pm

Session 2: Auckland   19th Sept.
