THE POWER OF RESPECT!

Only 2 weeks of real effort now until the holidays! Keep at it!

Last week I observed the Power of Respect!

I happened to see a few minutes of the cricket test betwen Australia and South Africa.

What a competitive couple of teams playing in an intensely competitive game!

Yes fierce opponents!  

In some ways, a bit like real estate agents competing for listings, sales and awards!

I happened to see the extremely competitive Ricky Ponting come to the wicket for his last ever TEST innings.

I then witnessed respect between competitors as the whole South African team lined up and clapped him to the wicket.

It didn't matter that he did not score many runs that day.

It did not matter that he had often competed fiercely against them!

What mattered was that they respected his:

TENACITY

SKILL

COMPETIVENESS

PERSERVERANCE

TEAM LOYALTY

LONGEVITY

WINNING ATTITUDE

ALWAYS TRYING HIS BEST

and they were happy to show that!

Mutual respect is wonderful to witness.

I also see the very best salespeople and business owners respecting their competent competition.

If you win frequently, I know you respect your competition!

If you miss out sometimes, rather than complain, it may help to respect good competition as only when you give respect can you earn it!

Instead of complaining, look within and respect skilled and honest competition.

That way you can respect your own efforts and ethics!

Then you can earn respect too!
